College students are very under-educated on the topic of nutrition. Most people have heard of the freshman 15 which is the average weight people gain when they go to college. This is due to a more sedentary lifestyle and poor food choices. Many college students will eat too much at dining halls and eat many desserts. Nutrition should be emphasized to college students more to help prevent unecessary weight gain. I am a physical education major and I do not get very much information on nutrition so the average student gets very little. I feel this should be changed.
