Our school is hoping to implement heart rate monitors next year. Does anyone have any experience with different brands to compare? I would like to hear from users of HEARTalker to compare to Polar monitors especially. |

I was fortunate to attend a seminar given by Hortonville High School Physical Education staff in Wisconsin. They used Polar Heart Monitors and currently our department purchased 17 and are trying to implement them into our lifetime fitness units. Give it a try. |

According to many of the NASPE Talkers, HR Monitors are the Number 1 technology for improving student growth in physical education, as I would whole heartedly agree. However their are drawbacks like Maintenance, Hygeine, and Self Image surround the straps. Take a chance and go Strapless, or at least consider their ease of use, less management time, and fewer headaches down the road. Constant readout is a great perk for having to wear a strap, but I love the freedom of just wearing a wristwatch. |

I am currently developing a heart rate program and I have done extensive research on various types of company's and models. The FS1 polar model seems to be the best quality and price on the market. |
