Growing up at my old high school, I believe that the emphasis on life time activities and staying healthy was not brought upon the class. Then I go to college and it just opens my eyes because all they talk about it promoting a healthy life to the students. They did not do this at all when I was in high school. I would like to know what anyone thinks about promoting a healthy life or having more fun in Physical Education class.

I think it is the right thing to do. Teachers need to promote healthy lifestyles and also need to teach students what they can do when they get older to stay active. Either teach the students sports or other hobbies that they can take with them through out their lives. Students some times only attend physical education class once a week. If the students only attends one time a week this does not allow enough time to get the students in shape. I think our job as physical educators is to teach students skills and activities that they can do outside of school.
