Grading in PE

When you are in a core subject such as math, you get graded on how well you understand the material and how well you perform on the tests. If you are bad at math, you will get a bad grade, but if you are good in math, you will get a good grade. Most physical education class grades are based off of dress code and attendance, is this fair. Often times students try to cheat with heartrate monitors or whatever you try to throw at them. Without effort or atleast the student attempting to have fun and participate there is basically no need for a gym class. The main thing is to judge how active they are and there overall attitude. We need to keep the children active and happy.
