I'm involved with a school that is trying to make the transition from traditional PE to more Lifetime Fitness and Outdoor Education and kind of fade out team sports. Now I am not opposed to Lifetime Fitness or Outdoor Education in any way but I see a problem in trying to fade out the team sports units in class. Can anyone give some feedback other than the obvious arguments on why to keep team sports? I want to bring a new argument to the table, soemthing concrete. Anyone who has gone through this transition and can also shed some light on their experience? |
