The use of drugs and alcohol among high school students is increasing greatly, even since I graduated 4 years ago. Students need to become more aware of the consequences they face with drug and alcohol consumption. I feel that as teachers and role models we are not doing enough to stress these consequences to students. A chapter or two in the health book and a guest speaker once a year is not going to cut it.
