Children seem to crave fast food these days. Parents may not have time to cook a balanced meal at home, so fast food is the easy way to feed their kids. As a future teacher,how do you get your students to understand that sometimes they may need to take control of their own eating habits? |

I could see doing a lesson on calorie contents of various food items, like cheeseburgers and fries, fruit, candy bars, juice and soda pop, comparing and contrasting nutrition, fat content and taste... not sure it would be too exciting, but I was shocked when I read the calorie content of a quarter pounder! 750!!! yikes. |
