As a health educator do you feel it is our right to be able to step in and attempt to change our school's menu if we see fit? How can we go about making these changes? |

Absolutely! Try to gain support with teachers and your principal, and then approach your food service director. If he or she is not willing to listen, then take it to the school board. Get familiar with your districts wellness policy, as well as other policies that may address key points. |

I am wondering if there are any schools out there that have changed their school lunches as far as the time allowed for children to eat. Now that we are working on implementing School Wellness Policies, have you heard of any positive changes regarding time allowed in other schools? If so, what have the changes been? |
