The New York State Nutrition Council is hosting its Annual Meeting “Kids Health and Weight: A Public Policy Update” on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Holiday Inn Carrier Circle, East Syracuse, NY.

This conference is of particular interest to those involved in the health of our children.
As you may have noted from today’s news that former President Bill Clinton and his Foundation are on a mission to remove sweetened soda and fruit juice beverages from our schools.
Also interviewed on the Today Show this morning was Eric Schlosser author Fast Food Nation who now
has a follow up book “Chew on This: Everything You Don’t Want to Know About Fast Food” .
This conference is very timely because one of our speakers is Dr. Margo Wootan, Director of Nutrition Policy from Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), and “Nutrition Action Newsletter”, Washington, DC. She also appeared in the film “Supersize Me”.
