I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a game that would get students moving in the classroom. I am giving a speech on the importance of PE and was hoping to make a point that students feel better after they move even if its for a brief period of time |

I don't know if your speech has already passed since you post was a while back, but here are two great links to physical activities that can be done by the classroom teacher. http://www.fitkidsnc.com/ http://www.ncpe4me.com/energizers.html |

Here's an article on how to use fitness breaks in your classroom. There are some good ideas on how to wake students up with brief periods of in-class movement: http://www.physicaleducationupdate.com/public/279.cfm |

Gopher Sport has a program called Active and Healthy Schools (AHS) which provides activity cards/energizer cards specifically for classroom teachers. Each activity is simple, and takes about 5 minutes. |
