Hi Michael! I think it's great that you are doing a blog for physical education! If you are looking for great content to blog about, please send me an email. I would love to chat with you about blogging about three exciting and very cool initiatives we have going on. If you are looking to share some activity ideas, NASPE just developed free activity/lesson plans for kids to do this summer to move like Spiderman! I just posted about this yesterday on the forum and they are linked to our homepage. Hope you can help spread the word about this and looking forward to hearing from you! Hi Michael, I was wondering how you bought all that equipment on $700. I have been looking for several years but the systems are expensive!!! |

Hi Josephine. I used our existing projector, which saved a lot of money. The Wii is only like $150 now. The DDR games can be found for $20-25 each. The cheaper dance pads are around $25. All can be found on Amazon.com. DON'T buy from the teacher catalogs. Too expensive. |

Thanks for the info. I am going to see what I can do to get a system up and running, hopefully this school year. I already have an InFocus and a smartboard assigned to me for my use in the gym. Wii I can find at GameStop or maybe KMart, Now I need to find someplace that will ship the dance pads to Guam. Amazon won't send electronics here. Any suggestions to which pads will last the longest? Maybe our supply guys can work their magic! Thanks and have a great school year! |

I wish I had a Smartboard! As for the dance pads, I just purchased whatever was cheapest off Amazon because I figured it would take me a while to go through (and/or break) 28 generic dance pads (since I only need 4 to operate at a time). I simply place tape on the broken ones to keep track. I think in 2 years we broke 3 pads so far. For your situation, either buy off ebay or a local store. It will still be much cheaper than the catalogs. |
