My freshman in college I took a swimming class in which we were graded on how good we could swim. I am a good swimmer and I still got a lot of B's on the skill tests that we had to do. On some skills I might not have been able to do it perfect but by the end of the semester I think that me and my classmates improved dramatically but didn't see the grades that we wanted to see. I think that we should have been graded on how well we improved over the course of the semester. Does anybody else agree with me on this? |

You are talking about two different types of assessment? One is 'attainment' I.e, how much you know or can do - and the other (the one you want) -is for 'effort or improvement'? Totally different tasks being asked of your assessor here! |
