Due to the demand to do better on the National Standardized Tests, school districts are cutting back on the physical education programs. Some elementary schools are only providing one hour of Physical Education class per month for students. The weeks that the students do not have Physical Education class the general teachers are to create a Physical Education setting for their students. Some teachers find this hard to do because they are not specialized in Physical Education, do you think because of childhood obesity issues in America that this is a good idea for the elementary education teachers to have to think of ways for the students to be physically active outside of their Physical Education classes.
