Other than using heart rate monitors how can I hold my students accountable? I don’t think pedometers are an accurate way to judge the students activity level, and would like to know some other ways to hold them accountable in class? |

i think pedometers do work you just have to keep an eye on the students do let them shake them and you do find a student shaking the pedometers they loss points for that day the first day you have them using these make that the first role. have the students go home and see how many step they should be taking every day and maybe that will motivate them to become more active outside of class |

I agreew with you that pedometers are unreliable when used by kids. You cant keep an eye on every student every second to make sure they arent shaking them. Heart rate monitors are really the best in my opinion because they allow everyone to work as hard as they need to and dont push to much or let kids slack off. Even though I am not a big fan of this you could try pre and post testing to see if kids are actually working on their ability. |
