As a physically fit child, I always made the Presidents Challenge in all my years. In elementary school is it bad for teachers to post the names of students who achieve this? I see both sides. You do not want to discourage the students who are not physically fit, but at the same time what is wrong with reality? There were things that I was never good at, and had to face. I think it is exciting to let those students shine, since it was something that made me feel good. |

My experience is that kids that struggle to shine in the classroom may excel in the field. I believe in recognizing as many kids as possible for all things in school. I take pics of my kids that win the blue patch and send it to the local paper. Even the ones that win the 50% red patch. Besides, I do many other things in PE to allow the less fit to have success in. |
