Our new Principal has made a policy that the PE teachers are responsible for classes attending special functions, assemblies, etc... if it is their normal PE time. This way the classroom teacher does not miss their planning. Any input??? |

In my elementary school, the special area teachers were expected to supervise the class they would have during that time so the classroom teacher would have their 30 minute contract break. We would also move the next class to supervise if it was necessary. If the time out of the gym was for a portion of the time, they also had that time in physical education, art or music. |
