Should basketball be a main part of PE anymore. I notice more and more students are not wanting to participate in it because the athletes take all thefun out of the game during gym class. Should the class cocentrate more on outdoor activities and other sports or still try to teach the rules of thegame to children? |

basektball is a great PE class activity. it is a great form of exercise and helps with coordination. you can split the athletic players up and make them pass the ball a certain number of time to get points for the day or before they can shoot the ball. |

Basketball should still be a part of PE class. More students than not are still participating. Theres only a select few kids that are "gym class heroes". Basketball still teaches teamwork and sportsmanship. |

Athletes can take the fun out of any "team/individual sport" that we allow them to. Sometimes that is the only time that the student that is not athletic enough to make the school team, has to play a game they may love! Its a great PE activity! |

I believe basketball is a great class in Physical Education. Basketball teachs great skills to the students. There will always be some children that are better than others, the athletes if you will, that can and will take the spotlight from the class. But if you don't teach it and let the others experience the fun of basketball, you never know if there is another spotlight in the corner waiting to come on! |
