I think that having an Outdoor Education Unit in a PE class would be very beneficial to the students. It would broaden their horizons and give the teacher and the students a break from the classroom and traditional way of teaching and gives them some fresh air. It would show them some other activities they could get involved in and stay in when they get older that isn't part of the traditional sports like basketball, football, etc... taught in PE classes. It also gives students who are interested in outdoor activities such as hiking, ropes courses and canoeing a chance to be in their comfort zone and not be afraid to participate. So do you think this would be a good idea to include an outdoor adventure unit?
