I think that bowling can be a facet in a PE curriculm, and I am looking for ways to get some equipment through grants and such. How should I go about doing this?

I attended a great workshop at the NYS AHPERD conference this year from the In-School Bowling program. They broke down skills real well with great easy to remember progressions.

In this national program, they have relationships with local bowling alleys. The PE teacher arranges to do a 2-3 week unit, and in turn, the bowling facility near you would lend you the equipment (bowling mats/carpets, pins, balls), and the facility would give your students a free game pass. I am in the process of waiting for free materials that they are going to send me.

Their number is:1-800-343-1329/ www.bowlersed.com.

Check them out.
