Many schools are starting to introduce adventure education into their PE programs. Do you think it is important to include activities like climbing walls and ropes courses into PE? Do you think students who do not like doing the traditional activities would enjoy the adventure education activities and get them more interested in PE? |

I think that introducing adventure activities into the curriculum is a good idea. It could reach different students with different abilities. Someone who is not good at say basketball could be exceptionally skilled in rock climbing. Having varies activities for students to choose from is good. If students do not like doing traditional PE activities I believe adventure activities could spark a greater interest in PE. |

I just finished taking an Adventure Programming graduate course. It was awesome! Since this is such a new curriculum unit, it brings all the students to an equal playing field. Most of the students do not know about adventure activities, and the students who are bored with Traditional PE will love something new! |

I'm currently taking a class like this at the college level and i love it. I wish i had something like this to take in high school. I think the majority of the students would enjoy a class like that, doing ropes courses and other outdoor activities. |

I think adventure games is a great way to get students involved and working together. By implementing ideas such as rope courses and climbing walls, the kids can forgot their attitudes out side of class and realy work together. |

Yes I think that it is important to include activities like climbing walls and ropes courses into PE because it gives the students oppurtunities to perform different types of tasks and use different abilities to compelte the tasks. I think it would give the students an option to try new things and hopefully find a new passion or interest just by trying something new. |
