In high school, many students try to play as many sports as possible. However, they usually excel at just one. Should these students focus on one sport and the off-season it brings, or should they be involved in as many as possible. i.e. Football-Fall, Basketball-Winter, Baseball/Track-Spring |

Realistically speaking. An athlete can only truly peak once per year through training. So, they should only truly focus on one sport (be it their favorite, or their best if they are not the same). If they choose to play other sports then they should be because the athlete finds them enjoyable! |

At the high school age, the students can definitely benefit the most by participating in multiple sports. If they focus on only one at a young age, they will become like a drone in that sport. They need not only the excitement that multiple sports bring, but also the valuable characteristics that different sports have. For example an athlete who played football, wrestled, and played baseball would get teamwork and commitment from football, strength and determination from wrestling, and hand-eye coordination and technical skills from baseball. This would turn the student into his or her best. |

I thoroughly with Trevor, as we are talking about high schoolers here, I feel that at this age you should be able to experience as many spots as you can to develop as better person and athlete. To confine someone so young to one sport could be detrimental to them developing holistically. |

In high school, I think it is a good idea to play many sports as possible if the athlete is going to commit to each one. At that age, I believe the students know their capabilities and skill level to play more then one sport. |

In high school it is crucial for student athletes to particpate in multiple sports. Multi-sport athletes tend to be more involved in their communities and get better grades than students that participate in a single sport. Also when an athlete graduates there are very few that have the ability to play more than a single sport above the high school level so students need to enjoy being able to participate in multiple sports while they can. |

High school athletes need to participate in more than one sport. This is the only time in which athletes can play multiple sports and they need to expierence being on different teams. Along with that idea, there are "late bloomers." Many athletes won't excel in a sport until their senior year. If concentrated on one sport, the athlete might sell him/herself short. |
