I have heard varying ideas on this topic. When I was in gym class or on the soccer field as a player if we did something bad or weren't paying attention we were punished by running laps, doing push-ups, or some other form of exercise. Is this something that should be done in schools or on the field?
Some teacher’s philosophies are that doing this makes students or players turned off to the idea of exercise and give the label that it is bad or unfun. Other teachers believe that doing this reinforces good behavior.
What are some people’s impression of this and is it good to incorporate physical exercise as punishment or does it turn off a generation to even the idea of exercise as fun?
