What are you thoughts on parents coaching their childrens little league teams. Very rarely have I experienced a parent who hasn't given their son/daughter special treatment on the team. Do you believe parents should not be allowed to coach their childrens teams? |

Some parents are excellent and fair coaches, and there are some that are not. |

I think it is ok for parents coaching their children’s little league team or even grade school team. My dad coached my baseball team and I know if I messed up he would not hesitate to sit me. |

I think parents should be allowed to coach their children's teams. My dad coached my team when i was young and i guess he did things differently then most, he did not treat me special and sometimes i think he treated me worse. i think my dad loved coaching me and it let us spend some quality time together. Another reason parents should coach is that a lot of times communities have a hard time finding parents willing to give up their time to coach. |

I have coached my daughter's soccer team for many years and she didn't mind the fact that I was there. It was a great way to spend time with her and her friends while helping them play the actual game. I think you may find it hard to find people that will coach a team without their son or daughter on it. The reason they coach is for the love of their children and the sport. |
