I think title 9 is good and bad. I never had an experience with title 9 in high school. We had a sports that ran hand in hand with eachother... for example baseball/softball, girls tennis/boys tennis, etc. Football even allowed girls to play with the boys. In college, title 9 has impacted my sport dramatically. I play softball and in the past 2 years our field has gone from one of the poorest to the best in the state. We have had so many more opportunities given to us. I know our field will never compare to baseball but we are closer than ever. Unfortunately, title 9 have had a negative impact on alot of my friends. I had many of my guy friends who are swimmers transfer out because their sport was cut. Same with wrestling. Everybody is going to have different feelings towards title 9. I personally think title 9 has postive and negative impacts on people. |
