Mr. Olson As a young coach I would advise you to try to find a graduate assistant position. Look on ncca.org and they have a list of open positions. Also, try to go to as many college basketball camps as possible. If you can work Five-Star Eastern, Nike, or ABCD thats gold.Try to plan a trip to the Final Four in Atlanta this year as well. Its about who you know not what you know. Also, get your resume together and talk to local coaches in the area college and high school. Another route would to try to find a part time asst coach job in Division II of III. I personally started of at Division III and move up to DII. I worked camps such as UNC, Five-Star, Campbell and many others. Always remember to work hard when you get a chance and do not burn any bridges. |
