This spring will be the first time I have coached softball. I have played for many years. I was just wondering if any can help me out. I need some good ideas for softball drills and warm-ups. Any advice and ideas would be helpful thanks.

I realize this post is pretty old and the season has probably already started but it never hurts to have a random fresh idea. A warm-up that I found most effective is one that isn't just standing around. For example, instead of doing typical laps maybe do Indian laps to change it up and it will help the team communicate which is really important. As far as stretching, circle up for 5 mins then do plyometrics for the remainder of the warm-up time you set aside. It stretches, warms up and strengths the muscles! Hope I helped some!
