How do you differentiate instruction for all the diverse students in a class? There are some that have outstanding skills, others that have little or no skill and others with disabilities. I don't want the students with disabilities to stand out. What are some activities the whole class can do or how can instruction be differentiated? |

One of the best ways is to offer different challenges or levels. For example show an easy example followed by a medium and harder challenge.

I believe as a physical education instructor that your job is to introduce students to a variety of physical education activities but at a basic level. Therefore, all students will be able to participate and the lower skilled students will be able to learn the basic mechanics in order to participate as well. I believe by teaching these basic skills you are able to involve everyone and for those higher skilled students they will be able to participate but will also be able to use the skills that they have already aquired as well. |
