Does anyone know about some certain training programs or education curriculums for children who have ADD/ADHD????? The programs that relive these kids' "pain"????

I taught classes with this type of kid for years. They were always mainstreamed, so there was no special curriculum. Frankly, I don't see the need for one. What they need it special attention, lots of patience -- from themselves, their teacher and classmates, repetition, and an opportunity to feel they have accomplished something.

when out on teaching practice this year i had a kid with ADHD and i was never told about him but it didnt take me long to find out..they can be controlled once they take their medication and do sometimes need alot of attention but other wise i found it ok to deal with as i had the students on my side and they were well used to this childs behaviour. i gave him a lot of attention i did find, without holding back the rest of the class..he was very sporty which helped and did get agitated when he lost games so from time to time the students had to play along as i think they were very close to the child. I find if you lay out the class and set goals for them each day for what they have to reach you can get around to the class, and it prevents boredom across the class, i found this especially good when i was teaching them their group fitness classes.i hope this is a help to you other wise
