Is there any classes out there that are teaching the wheelchair sports in any form to their students? I'm a big fan of Murderball (Wheelchair Rugby) and Wheelchair basketball and wish I would have had the opportunity to learn them in my high school even though I don't meet the qualifications to actually play. I watched them for the first time when I got to college and was in shock at how much I liked each. |

I am not sure about whether or not it is taught in any classes in middle or high school but I personally have had a class that has included both along with many more adapted sports. My college class was called Sport and Disability. We went over all of the important points about each sport and then spent time playing them as a group. It was a great experience that taught me alot and made me appreciate adapted sports so much more. My suggestion would be to look into a sport and disability class. Break each sport down and allow time to play.Good Luck. |

I observed a teacher, who held a Yoga class this past week. Is yoga a legitimate unit for 7th and 8th grade students? |
