Just wondering who else out there is using GPS in PE... Geocaching anyone? I have also attempted to upload a promotional video that I made from our students experience this past fall. |

Paula and Brian: I downloaded the video and was able to convert it back into a wmv file, with much effort. I then create a web page to display it on and for download at: http://pe1.org/videos/geocaching.htm Nice job on the video Brian. |

Heard a good story last night with some rugby friends. The All Black NZ rugby team are using GPS transmitters which are sewn into the players jerseys (in training) to monitor which players are working hard etc. During a 2 hour training session they found the top guys are running 14-15K an hour. Of course much of that is in sprint bursts!?!?! Not too shabby eh? |

I just ordered 13 Garmin Geko GPS units for our orienteering unit. Would love any activities that we can use with those. I want to do some geocaching activities with the kids as well. The Gekos have 4-5 built in games that the kids will like. |
