Hi Matt, I have yet to use geocaching in the classroom, but have done it as a prize for our schools big "carnival" like prize. For that I have gone out ahead of time and marked about 10 different locations on the school grounds and right before my prize winner is to go out I place my own geocaches. I use my own gps and I can of make it a treasure find in that they get whatever is in the caches. I know that if you do a search for geocaching in schools curriculum you will find some lessons and there is even a curriculum out there. Good luck and happy caching! |
