My question has to do with student teaching. How well did student teaching do in helping you prepare to teach PE? Was the student teaching very helpful, or did you learn more from actual on the job experience? |

I would have to say that my student teaching experience has been great. Michigan State University requires a full year of student teaching and I think that it really helps prepare you for your job, especially if you take it seriously and soak in as much as possible. I also think that it depends on your mentor teacher as well. My current mentor teacher is amazing and I learn from her everyday even though I do not see her as regularly as before. So far I would have to say yes to your question. George |

I learned more from student teaching than in my 4 years in college. Student teaching is vital for the development and progress of any teacher. |
