I am very interested in teaching Physical Education with a highly cognitive goal orientation. One way I have found that helps me do this is I hand my students all out dry erase markers and laminated white A4 sheets of paper. These laminated sheets of paper act as mini, portable, white-boards, on which students can take notes, answer my higher cognitive questions, and record their results for physical tests/heart rate. My question is do you know any other low budget ways of improving the learning environment in a Gymnasium? |

Well Gary one method i found to work well was the magic white board. it pulls off a roll and you can stick it onto any surface which is good in the gym. They are cheap too and you can use it for at least 25 times before you need to dispose of it

Thanks for replying Gerard, I think I found a link to what you were talking about here http://www.magicwhiteboard.co.uk/ I'll definitely look into using them in a gym. |

I think it is a great idea to teach in a gymnasium environment, for one if you are teaching a skill or anything like that you are able to demonstrate very easy with more space. Also the big white flip over boards are great for teaching in a gym setting. I am all for teaching in a gym. |
