How many times have you been kicked out of your Gym because of Pep Rally or Assembly? Do you have any say in the matter or do you have to just go with the flow. I remember in high school our Physical Education class what kicked out of the gym a lot for Blood Drives, Assemblies, etc. I'm not saying that these are bad things, but there are other areas for these events to take place that would serve the same purpose. Most of the time it was in the dead of winter when going outside was not the best option. What are some ways you deal with this problem?? |

it's part of being a gym teacher. I have had the most luck with being involved in the event planning. most of the time it is as simple as saying "I know that's where we've always had it, but would it work if we did it here so the gym classes can continue as planned?" It's usually because they don't understand what a hassle it is for us. I use cup stacking in a classroom when I get stuck with no gym, but I teach elementary. |
