I never had the opportunity to experience aquatics through a school PE department, so when the the proper grade level to split up the boys from the girls? Do you always keep them together K-12? Or do you separate the boys from the girls when they reach middle school?

I think you have boys and girls separated until they get to High School. I never had the chance to take an Aquatics class until 9th grade and it was coed. Once they get to high school, it doesn't seem like a big deal.

I had coed gym classes all the way up until 7th grade. After that it was boys and girls separate. When we had the aquatics unit my junior and senior year in high school they were separate. I think that separating the students when they reach middle school is the best idea.
