Advances in teaching methodologies have created new ways of teaching and learning. Many academic institutions are integrating cross-curricular initiatives into their courses. Please use this thread to provide arguments on the pros and cons of being cross-curricular with PE and Health education.

There is a misunderstanding in cross curricular physical education! Many people are saying that you have to teach reading or other subject areas in P.E. to be cross curricular. Using a developmentally appropriate approach that is well planned and contains activities that stimulate brain development will lay the foundation for learning in all curricular areas. We also cannot ignore the growing health concerns we are and will be facing. Understanding that P.E. enhances learning in more than a physical way is the first step in true cross curricular education.
