Adapted
- I was recently helping a class with children who had both mental
and physical disabilities. I noticed that the activities we were
doing seemed to bore the children who had less sever problems,
while it seemed to be to difficult for others. I question, should
a teacher further divide the class if this situation occurs? Please

- At the elementary level, when should sport skills start to be
introduced into the curriculum, rather then just playing the games?

Health,
Fitness & Nutrition - I am training for track and field.
I am practicing, lifting hard, and trying to get stronger. At
the same time, I would like to lose a little weight without breaking
my body down. How can I do this successfully? Please share in

Interdisciplinary
- My school district is saying that I need to have a Math
or Reading standard in my lesson everyday. I have a few good ideas
but not enough to get me through the whole year. Does anyone have
any good ideas for the Middle School years? Please post. |

Secondary
- I have heard that some teachers incorporate self defense lessons
into their course. In my school we never did such a thing. However,
I was wondering if anyone else had an opinion. Should self defense
be taught in a public school setting, and if so, should it be
martial arts, boxing...? Any info or opinions would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you. Please share in the forum.

Technology
- I'm peer teaching basketball in my territory games class in
a few weeks. I was wondering if it's okay to survey the students
to get an idea of their skill level. I don't want anyone to be
embarrassed but I want to have even teams. Let me know what you
think please. Please share in the forum.
