Adapted - Any ideas on activities to do with a 1st or 2nd grade APE class that only has 1 child? I fear that I am not providing enough "fun" for the student while still meeting his IEP goals. ALso, my student does not like to come see me because he has to be taken out of his class and it is just ME and him. Any suggestions on how to get him to WANT to come to APE? Please share in the forum.   Coaching - As a future P.E. teacher and a coach, I was wondering what are the main differences between coaching a team and teaching a P.E. class? Are they drills or exercises that work for one but not the other? I would like to know what seasoned physical educators out there in the field teaching already would like to pass on to new physical educators not in the field. How can I better prepare these new educators for the "real" world? What information would you like to pass on to these new teachers that would not be learned in a book or does not occur like the teaching models say. Please share in the forum.   Health, Fitness & Nutrition - I have a little brother who is 13 years old, and he has become very self-conscious about what he eats. Being a growing boy, and pretty active as well, what kind of advise can I give him to get him to eat more and more healthy foods besides the obvious, "You need to eat to grow?" Please share in the forum.   Interdisciplinary - Does anyone have any ideas on types of integrated warm-ups and cool downs that can get students interested in doing exercises, and help students realize the importance of warming up and cooling down the muscles before and after physical activity? Please share.   Secondary - Hi I am looking for tips and suggestions on ways to modify a sport game to get more students involved. I've required them to meet goals of say, 4 passes before scoring a touchdown, and playing smaller teams, but feel that something more needs to be done to draw the timid students into action.
