Adapted - I am currently a PE major yet have not received much input regarding actual current implementation of inclusion guidelines in public schools. To what degree are physical educators required to adjust their programs to fit the needs of a student w/ a disability? Please answer in the forum.
Coaching - I think that the Jr. High level is when coaches should start cutting players. By then you can pretty much tell who your ball players are going to be, but I am an aspiring coach, so I am open for suggestions. Please share in the forum.
Elementary - What do you think is the best and most fair way to pick teams in gym class? Why do you think this way is fair? Because I know in my highschool our teacher picked captains then they picked the teams which I don't think its fair at all. Because everyone picks their friends and the best players. Any suggestions?   Health, Fitness & Nutrition - At what grade level do you think it is most appropriate to teach students how to properly lift weights? Weight training is not only good for muscular strength but also muscular endurance. The dilemma is that weight training does not have to be done using heavy weights. Therefore, some people say that weight training can be done at any grade level. Please share in the forum.
Interdisciplinary - Why is PE not the most important subject in a schools curriculum? It has a direct effect on your health and life. Please share.
Secondary - How you feel about the grading system in PE? Should it be weighted into the student's GPA? Should a large portion of the grade be reliant on participation? improvement? knowledge of skill? How do we account for natural athletes vs. non-athletes? Please share in the forum.
Technology - I have trouble with the thoughts of using pedometers in school. I just think they are more useful for, say, my 90 year old grandmother. They just do not have much use in school. They can be easily manipulated, most children will forget to wear them (as I did for a college project), the fear of losing them, the fear of damaging them, and the list of reasons why they are ineffective can go on and on. How do you use them in your class? Do you think most students just lie about their results? I just think they can be a waste of time and money. Please share in the forum.
