REVIEW
Target Audience/Purpose:
I feel the authors target audience was new Physical education
teachers.
Content:
Overall the content was very bland and nothing new that I
haven’t seen myself. It was more or less a portfolio
of the authors own work.
Strengths/ Limitations:
The book gives lots of beginning ideas for lessons, but doesn't
show a full unit from front to start and really doesn't bring
in the element of assessments into the lessons.

Summary:
The book had a good scope and sequence of lesson plans. However
that was really the only strong point I saw. Throughout the
book the author used different formats for lesson plans, which
made it hard to read. He never once used any type of standards
in the lesson.
Also the objectives for the lesson weren't written clearly.
For example, for cognitive objectives he used demonstrate
in the objective. Also the stuff at the beginning about resume
building, and what to expect, was very short and bland and
could have had a lot more detail.
Recommendation:
I would not recommend this book to my peers as a good resource.
There are many other books out there with better content and
better written. Maybe if the author collaborated with others,
and had it reformatted to have all the pages in the same format,
it could be a better book.
